So what's in it?
Full Fat Coconut Milk: Healthy fats are necessary in order to manufacture sex hormones. In addition, fat helps to keep blood sugar stable. Unbalanced blood sugar is a recipe for hormonal disaster. Coconut is one of the most fibre-rich foods available. Not only does the gut love fibre and it helps to keep bowel motions regular...it is vital in order for us to eliminate excess estrogen.
Greenish Banana: Rich in resistant starch which our gut bacteria love. Good gut microbiome = hormone love
Cacao Powder: Rich in magnesium, fibre and antioxidants All necessary for happy hormones
Nut Butter: A source of healthy fat (peanut/almond/macadamia butter)
Ceylon Cinnamon: Helps to regulate blood sugar
Protein Powder: Protein is critical to hormone health as it helps to regulate blood sugar levels. I like vegan protein powders because they don't contain whey or casein which many people are sensitive to.
Collagen Powder: Helps to heal and seal the lining of your digestive tract
Ingredients:
2 Tbs Ayam Full Fat Coconut Milk
1 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon
1 heaped Tbsp cacao powder
1 serve Protein Powder
1.5 Tbsp Nutra Organics Collagen
1 heaped Tbsp 100% Natural Nut Butter
1/2 unripe banana
Water - add enough to achieve the consistency you like
Directions:
Add everything to a high speed blender, blend and enjoy
Tip: Add everything to your smoothie blender the night before and then blitz it up for brrekky (saves time if you are on the run in the morning)
