Pickled/Dill Cucumbers made easy!

We have been experimenting with some simple ways of improving our gut health and fermented foods are a great way to go!

But if it’s not simple I won’t do it

Believe me, this recipe is SIMPLE!!!😜✅

Pickled/Dill Cucumbers

Slice 4 lebanese cucumbers, into 3mm slices

Mix together the following ingredients in a jug to make the brine

>1 cup quality vinegar - I used coconut cider vinegar, you could also use rice vinegar

>1 cup water at room temp

>1tbsp maple syrup or sugar

>4 cloves crushed garlic

>3 tsps of salt

Place cucumber slices into jars and cover with the brine

Add the following herbs and spices to each 300ml jar or use your own combo!

>I/2 tsp caraway seeds

>1/2 tsp chilli flakes

>1 tsp whole peppercorns

>1 tsp mustard seeds

>1 bay leaf

> fresh dill

Pop the lid on and invert to mix the herbs and spices around

Place in fridge for at least 3 days to allow flavours to develop

We love them after about 5 days 😋
